Education of Conscience

Any individual or living being has a different conscience. Conscience arises when the creature was already accustomed to doing the same things constantly. Like other human beings also have a conscience that often we call conscience. Conscience is the voice we heard and from within ourselves. We assume that voice is always true if we want to do it. Conscience is the mirror of our true personality. Some people say that it is a good conscience or positive, but some say he is like who is believed by the people (who heard the inner voice). Conscience is the ability of people to differentiate between good and right or vice versa, and also directed to always take the best decisions and right.

Our inner voice can we hear or feel if we can always mengintropeksikan ourselves for what we have done. We also must be sensitive to any symptoms that happen to us and stick to either the cultural norms, customs, social and our religion.

In 1963, in ensiliknya entitled “Pacem in Terris” of Pope John XXIII asserted that “the Creator of the world has imbibe into the human heart a moral order, which revealed to him, that his conscience is firmly instructed him to obey them” (Page 5) . In the above sentence can be seen that actually has a conscience is already owned by everyone. But how do we listen and take action based on those of conscience. How it can be easy and difficult, depending on how we do it and our intention to hear it. The trick is to always act according to accepted norms, are sensitive to events around, intropeksi themselves and live up to what he believed was right both by ourselves and others.

Our attitude towards other dantara conscience we must obey them and do it well. But in a written ensilik Pope John Paul II, entitled “Veritatis Splendor” also asserted that “Conscience, as the assessment of an act, is not spared from the possibility of wrong” (VS 62). Therefore, we must also consider what our hearts say.

In 1965, the Second Vatican Council document entitled “Gaudium et Spes”, church leaders affirmed that: “Conscience is always called for … to love and to carry out the good and avoid evil. Whenever necessary, the inner voice that echoes in the depths of her ‘do this, elakkanlah it’. For in the human heart find the law written by God. Core of human dignity is the most secret, sacred centers; there was with God, His greeting echoed in his mind. Thanks to the conscience of law … dikenalilah miraculously loving God and neighbor … The greater the influence of the conscience of the careful … the more people try to adhere to the norm – an objective moral norms. But jaranglah not happen that conscience lost, then the ignorance, … (or because) indifference to search for the right things and good, and because the habit sinned “(GS 16). From this sentence we know that conscience plays an important role in ourselves. For example with our conscience can do: love, good works, sort out a problem, to obey the moral norms of objective, and we also can get lost by sura caution when misunderstood.

By taking action based on a true conscience and good. And that action will have an impact for us either to yourself or others. That impact may be beneficial or detrimental to us depends on what we understand will be the voice of our hearts. Impact, among others: we can lebik brave in making decisions, respectful people, not giyah against misleading solicitation, tidah restless after his decision and run it, and many more.

Catholic religious teachings about conscience, we can see in various quote books, documents or ensilik-ensilik. But in broad outline we can see on ensilik Pope John Paul II, entitled “Veritatis Splendor”. There is stated that: assessment of conscience is a rating prkatis, a valuation that makes people mengetahuihal to do and things that should not be done (VS 59); assessment has shades of conscience obliges, then humans must act according to orders (VS 60); truths about goodness known in a practical and concrete through the assessment of heart sounds (VS 61); sound assessment of the liver as an act, is not spared from the possibility of a mistake (VS 62).

However, since our discussion in education on the basis of conscience. So we can also conclude that the education of conscience is indispensable, because without our conscience will not develop into a better and advanced. And vice versa with the same education our conscience will also be a sharp lebik or sensitive to a decision and the circumstances.
